On Music ... know them. Hi, how are you?
After the heroic journeys of the previous post glacial (and past months), I've been visiting interesting sites ... without leaving my homeland (after being by freeze and then blow off steam, I guess that was expected).
In one of these, a @ @ Dear Comrade network suggested 2 me 2 things: one, to record some peculiarities of the horse with horn-something and perform a "meme" about the clerk of this site. One proposal would point out "The 7 Things I Like ..." on me? ".
There will be so difficult. By definition, the Unicorn is "like" complete. "Aayyy yes, what were the Cuacos Horny narcissistic", say. Well NO. Let me explain them: There is something I love (or should like) rather than something else. I think the sum of all characteristics is what makes us who we are. So, dear
A , I've left a Homeric work (?!).
And while I thought about it, I put on some music. And then it happened ...
Have you thought that the music that motivates them, the melodies that inspire and illuminate, the songs that move them to laugh, dance or mourn, could be an extension of who you are?!
What do you think and tell me what music "moves", and why? In this way, may know something more about Horses With Horn ... while I decide which of the two bands I like more ... Juar, juar, no, not true!
addition to presume, I learned how to put a little music to unicorniano blog (which is not to have fractal calculations to solve, or criticize Brazilian telenovelas, Carax!). So, if you will, share sounds, silences and voices. Would you like to join me?
always loved music. With a capital. Not the "music" (as in lower case) which tend to popularize the musicaleros consortia, based on repeat and repeat until exhaustion sounds simple, asynchronous, and screaming out of date (also known as noise, reggaeton, hiphop, music grupera, etc. .) Sorry, but well defined, what can we do.
not angry, fans of the "little music." I agree that there is freedom in art (though I'm more in agreement with Ernst Gombrich, that "no art, rather, there are artists.") And maybe those "musical events" have their defense (!!??). But in particular, look for human inventions that make us grow, evolve and be more wise and empathetic, not stun us, make us more violent and selfish (yes, I know not why I came to my mind the image of the driver minibus, putting his pillion or reggaeton music blaring, with lyrics so motivating as we are going to eat that, "or" I'ma warrior, Aztec, & # ingen his mother # $% utes "or" I'ma urban warrior, I have the # "& you well !"... and ladies positions covering his ears to their children, Carax! Why why are they left my countrymen?
[Dragon Note: a Colombian friend told us that in its very beautiful Colombia, cumbia really was a pleasure to hear ... and more to dance ... until they reached the children of his *%!, narcos and began to impose and corrupt, to issue $ letter $ and $ mu $ $ implona $ Iquito, vulgar and gross $ $, $ u $ infamous $ gu $ to $. And in horror after a hellish bus trip from Mexico City, he said: "Also here the artist narco northern rotted them?!" - "And even with the help of Putovisa, forgiveness, Telerisa!", Answer]. Sorry. I got angry. Is that music was my first love. And if not kept at the Conservatoire, was for ... a story that one day I'll tell you. See how the smear and denigrate makes me ill.
And better is my list (which can be heard, by selecting the box on the right): 1 .-
Sarah Brightman: Eden .
---> The Brightman is a lyric soprano who has unusual records. Since she shot to fame in "The Phantom of the Opera" has become a crowd favorite. But what I like about it (other than your voice, eyes and smile, lol!) Is its ability to reinvent and experiment with fusion various genres: Arabic music, opera, pop, flamenco-gypsy, baroque, medieval, Renaissance, gospel, etc.. Just so we are almost at the Conservatory, lol! (Hence the sympathy for his style). OK, fine. It is also smiling and beautiful ... "Now?
bit Or not! 2 .-
Evangelos Odysseas Papathanassiou (Vangelis) Antarctica . ---> of Vangelis, I feel like the Master Arthur C. Clarke: "Thanks for the inspiration." His music is solemn, enveloping and provocative. Best known for creating music for memorable movies Blade Runner (1994), 1492, The Conquest of Paradise (1992) and Chariots of Fire (1981), for which she won an Oscar. He has also made music for plays and exhibitions of his paintings. When we were engaged in experiments relating to NASA missions to Mars, I loved to be invited to work composing a hymn to the 1st. unmanned mission to Mars,
2001: Mars Odyssey . In his honor, an asteroid named after him: the 6354-Vangelis
.
3 .- Miguel Bosé
: Nada Particular .
---> There are artists who can not be classified as "singers." I think Miguel Bose is one of them: actor theater and film, other than an activist, I prefer the music of his second season, where I draw this song, which brings me to my comrades and colleagues at Doctors Without Borders for many unsung heroes in places that many of you do not even imagine. Hope is a song, but repetitive for my taste. But so hopefully we learned of his message. 4 .-
Ronan Hardiman: Fiery Nights .
---> Here among us, one of my first love out of Irish in these parts was the most friendly, intelligent and courageous I've ever met. Every time I listen to music with flutes, drums and bagpipes small (do not know what), I remember his laughter and look fierce, but stimulating. A kiss, Eirene. 5 .-
Sarah Brightman: Fleurs du Mal . ---> With this entry, whichever is thrilled. Then, it becomes somewhat gimmicky, but the combination of vocals, the crescendo and the chorus, give a special sonic expansion. Overall, I liked it. 6 .-
George Winston: The Holly and the Ivy. ---> A classic Christmas carols, but with the touch of a pianist and composer exceptional. Gives the original song a special verve and energy. Literally, you hear the notes "shine" on your keyboard. Along with William Ackerman, is one of my authors, classical musicians / Non-classical favorites. 7 .-
Susana Harp: El Caracol. ---> Just listen to this beauty. Yes, I know it seems to be no time to listen to poetry, and less into music, but give yourself a chance. Not only is what outlines, like a voice tinged with watercolor, but the arrangement based on the instruments are. And I agree: it is a time machine the Heart (and the North wind carries us through life, God!). 8 .-
Eduardo Zamarripa and his group: Union. ---> Perhaps some of the heritage Jorge Reyes died recently, "The Jaguar"? I do not know if they have a direct influence, but I liked since I heard it (especially when you're away from here). Pre-Hispanic instruments, synthesizers (no way!) And structure of jazz and rock cruise, give character to the tune of merger. 9 .-
Paul Potts: You Raise Me Up ( For you I will. ") ---> Why more presentation. Yes, it is the "tenor chubby" winner in the contest "Britain's Got Talent." Although in particular I think is still missing (although the story that at a workshop in Modena, Italy Pavarotti praised it and ordered him to continue his career) in this particular song is projected, and the feeling comes more than technique. The phrase "Por Ti Sere, Stronger Than Fate ...", is a hymn to the good people of Mexico, dammit. What we hold, by God! Ahem, I do not talk about politics, and better get to the next ... 10 .-
Ennio Morricone: Sacco and Vanzetti . ---> One of the greatest living contemporary composers. Because what it added something else. Has scored from legendary films, series, television dramas, stage adaptations, etc.. His music atypical eclectic but brave and complainant. This is one of his mythical, the miraculous dramatic music composition as a Requiem, in memory of the legendary anarchists Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti. This ballad Here's to You, who popularized Joan Baez, and then Georges Moustaki in French as "Marche de Sacco et Vanzetti." Interestingly, the classics remain: in a recent game ("Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots") where he was being "massacred" by my nephews, I heard this same theme near the end! N'ombre, inspired by the enlightening listening, I returned to fight with renewed vigor.
lost again. But what gave Battle!
11 .- Il Divo and Celine Dion: I Believe in You . ---> Wow. What makes one listen to Celine Dion. I have nothing against Carlos, Sebastien, Urs and David, the "dives." Started with a concept that seemed novel and capable of extracting something interesting. But I think his concept is wearing thin and will not grow more, if not changing his style. Sometimes they succeed with contributions by special voices, as in this case. For those who like French melodious voice of one of its best performers.
12 .- Ronan Hardiman: Stolen Kiss . ---> Yes, I know. Another Irish. but the title reminded me that kiss, that warmed the soul and melt the heart. Is not happened, he approached his partner, who looked attracts us, and impels us to unite breath, as if we would ever separate us as if we were not more than one body, composed of two souls, against World? Carax, as well, so feel when I hear this tune! Móndriga eidetic memory, which form of a shudder!
13 .- Luz Casal: I do not care. ---> Here is the opposite. The brain controlling (and making ointment in the process) to the romantic heart (and that of the other couple, lol!). I think the letter speaks for itself. And the guitar arpeggios, too. And of course, Luz Casal and sliding ironic interpretation.
14 .- Jorge Duran: No More Tears . ---> of my special favorites, the Smooth-Jazz melody caresses the ear and heart. The vocal effects, synth, may detract a little. But I think the result is round. It seems "dancing" gently with the chosen of my heart ... or maybe kiss her in an elevator with this selection as background music, lol! (I said, these choirs and drums should be more "incisors", dammit!).
15 .- S.
And A. Brightman Bocelli: Time to Say Goodbye . ---> This song is a classic. They say that even has a Guinness record for its popularity. However, I prefer it for its lyrics and the way they complement singers, orchestra and chorus. And in particular, takes me back to the absent but always beloved. When Eve and I we sing, we start always cries (... we pray and not to follow, lol!). Seriously, what makes us sentimental. 16 .-
A. Vivaldi: Concerto for guitar (lute) and orchestra in D major . ---> Although it is a fix for the original works for lute, this version is perhaps more energy and tempo
faster than the real. Yes, maybe the arrangement with drums and background is not very orthodox, but at the same I think it's more enjoyable: honors the innovative spirit Vivaldi. 17 .-
S. Brightman and Jose Cura: Just Show Me How to Love You . ---> Well, what do you do? I like the combination of versatile Brightman bell, now in conjunction with the tenor, composer and director (how does it appear!?) Argentine Jose Cura, largely under registration. Somewhat repetitive and predictable, but again: I love the mix of vocal timbres.
Jose Cura in "Otello."
18 .- Claude Bolling - Invention (Baroque Guitar w / Jazz Trio) . ---> Good Jazz (John Coltrane, Dizzy Gillespie, Oscar Peterson, Dave Brubeck, etc.) Is one of my musical preferences. And if you do not really like it, what if we put in the blender a touch of jazz, a touch of baroque guitar and a twist of swing? The result, my friend @ s @ s, and smiling is this exquisite piece of Claude Bolling (piano) and his trio, with Alexandre Lagoya on classical guitar. 19 .-
Alessandro Safina: Luna . ---> Italian lyric tenor (nothing to do with the Russian tennis player Dinara Safina). His record is deep and above all, with subtle nuances, bass and bright. This song reminds me of a very special person who loved to sing and read by moonlight. No way, Ana Torroja, won a "Son of the Moon."
Alessandro Safina, tenor. 20 .- Gary Jules: Mad World (Gears of War Theme) . ---> Wow. Video games invade us. But not only in our hedonistic culture, but on creativity and artistic ideas, linked to our present I guess. I say this because after meeting topics in increasingly sophisticated video games ... or challenging. This item appears in the game "Gears of War", and contrasts with the extreme violence of it (and shrinks the heart to play simultaneously, bbrrr!). And transported to the sensory core storyline of the game. (And that did not get the theme of "Halo 3". That itself has no comparison!). 21 .-
Nina Simone: Cellular (Soundtrack) . ---> Wow, Nina Simone, Nina Simone. What I can say about this legend of Jazz, Soul and Rhythm and Blues? Well, I think that many things, unless it was "jazz singer" (as she herself said: "Jazz is a white term to define black music. I play black classical music." This remix (popular films such as "Cellular" and "The Thomas Crown Affair") recreates some of his versatile voice ... and it is VERY sticky, lol! 22 .-
Ennio Morricone: Come Maddalena . ---> I was going to put a marvel: El Concierto Serenata for Harp and Orchestra by Joaquin Rodrigo, with Nicanor Zabaleta ... but it was too long (in itself, this seems already seems to book for a change !!!). So I give you one of my favorite works of the great Ennio, with a structure that recalls the earlier (especially in the second part of this melody.) Complementation and complex amalgam of different lines (melody, chorus of support, rhythmic vocals, lead vocal and rhythm track to a crescendo) makes this book something like an anthem about Mahler, Vivaldi. (And then why I do not respect the Oscars, it sounds like something lost in 2000, with the monotonous and predictable score for "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon". But it had to fit well with the Chinese, ggrrr!). 23 .-
LV Beethoven: Symphony No. 1 ; 1st. Movement (Abridged). ---> In case you still believe that Bach (according Bolling) NO liked jazz (well, if have known, lol!), here's another historic first with Horn's Horse: the demonstration that Beethoven (like any good German who is respected) made a stop in South America, particularly Brazil. (We hope that now, the Ponies with Horn admitted as candidates for the awards "Prince of Asturias". I mean, even back to see Princess Letizia). Orthodox Beethovianos: relax and gózenla (not gamble!). All: enjoy it. 24 .-
Joan Manuel Serrat: bad company. ---> As a tribute to friends, from here, there, of you and us, all the world, a touch of one of my favorites: Serrat. So then we walk we do not know complaining about not making friends. Here the answer is not "do" friends. " It tries to be first. And now. "Difficult? Yes, but not impossible. Thanks for the lesson, Joan Manuel. 25 .-
A. Fernandez: Mexico Lindo y Querido . ---> Last but not the end, a symbolic song of Mexicans abroad. More than the sentimental "Canción Mixteca", this is the song that, when Horn risked Caballitos with horsehair (if not the skin) out of the country, we had pinned to the soul. And how many Sometimes we think we should sing it in advance, what memories!
Fortunately, it does not tell us that "we are asleep" to bring us here. And since we are in the "patriotic month, it is an appropriate pin to close this musical selection.
I chose this version on purpose because the applause at the end, are for you. What perseverance to get here, lol!
Now if you sent me! Just thank them have come up here (if reached) and listening to the musical selections (if they did, lol). I assure you try to be shorter in these communications, unless an issue warrants it (and all case, will divide it into chapters, otherwise ... asleep).
With musical snoring ... No, I say, neighing music, farewell,
the Unicorn Baritone ... PD
Well, now, do not do again ... ---
Last Minute - UPDATE - FLASH -
I realized I did not put the famous "7 points that I like (?!) From me." As I do not find what would be really, I put those occurring first, ensuring that in a later post the best think. But to balance the universe, also put that I do not like me. No way, it is comply.
points I like about me:
1. Being thin and (still) athletic. In my nearly 500 years, it helps to escape from sticky situations (and pretending to be cholos "z").
2. Not having (almost) hair. In addition to the requests for autographs believe I am Lieutenant John McClane, this avoids visits to the hairdressers ... mmhhh, if no longer exist, well, "style" and the acquisition of shampoos "for men" or defined curls, resulting in household savings. Moreover, it is difficult for me fooled, juar, juar!
3. Curiosity without embarrassment (NOTE, please, the space between "sin" and "shame." Thank you.) Clear tinged with a certain touch to ask.
4. Imagination. All the time I'm imagining things. And no, I'm in a psychiatric center support (at least so far). I mean, I like to have sudden ideas, imagine your applications and translate them into sketches and notes. So I can solve complex problems (or write post twisted and insane, lol. I do. So are the Horses with Horn).
5. The ease of music. So they say. I can sing and play tracks in different instruments. And I like to accompany me when I'm alone with my first love: music. but this I know, right?
6. Listening. I like to hear, but listen, and look while my partner, without incomodarl @, of course. Sometimes the tone of the voice, the trembling of lips, facial expressions, they tell you more, much more than what comes out of his mouth. And it is part of the Ancient Arts lost calls talks (not "chat" by God !!!).
7. Finally (but not final), I think I like to be empathic. After all these years (I think equivalent to 40-50 of humans, lol), I have seen almost everything ... and so I try to empathize with anyone who comes near me. All are heal scars of war, pieces of heart (in fact, would hypothalamus, but ... heck, who cares?) That patching, light laughter to share, to inspire thoughts, tips discarded, haha, recipes to try, tears to dry, etc.. We all have something to give and receive. And I like being part of that vital process.
things I do not like (me, pero of course).
1. Being a perfectionist. I know that sometimes freezes, but it is difficult to control. The struggle continues, however.
2. Have (still) a little hair. More functional would not have to shave daily. And especially the head. Imagine the horse with horn with a cut in the spiral horn. By God!
3. Sometimes I'm too inquisitive. Seeking the Truth, although I may take time. And that, believe me, often offends.
4. One thing to be idealistic and a daydream. I do not like it too often.
5. I think too much. Although my "antenna" (aka, "spiral horn") tell me that the person is not trusted, would sometimes give a 2nd. opportunity ... and I take every disappointment, I tell you what.
6. Sometimes I'm very impulsive. There should be, but there are times when, damn it, we must put a stop to certain events or people.
7. I poured my heart too. What they want. For the sake of leaving everything perfectly clear and understandable (a "de-training" professional, lol), I usually extend much ... and what should be succinct, ends up being rollero. (If you know me, just so I say no, if yes.)
And now, I withdraw. And I think that it unfortunately the post, because some comments were deleted, to leave the electricity for a few minutes, when did the "upgrade"! Sorry for the dispersed, and the next.
Music With affection, farewell, paving
Unicorn ...
